July 2nd, we went on a mini vacation to celebrate Independence Day. We went camping on Lake Travis at Sandy Creek Park in Leander, TX. After our camping days, a few of us went to Austin to explore the city. We had a great time eating our way through some of the best vegan places Austin has to offer (Boudlin Creek Cafe, Arlo's, and Red Rabbit Bakery). We also had a great time walking through thrift and craft shops downtown.
However, the holiday is over and we have been back home for a few days. The building has continued and we are more excited than ever to get back to work and finish our tiny home. We currently have two walls framed out and a partial floor plan taped out on the sub-floor. Things are coming together and every day it looks more and more like a home!
Once we get all the framing done, we have to run water and electric lines and insulate everything before putting walls up. We are thrilled to see it come together and hope you are too! (:
